The fictional story spans from 1965 Detroit, Michigan to Hollywood, California in the early 90s. After the onset of the disease in 1965, he went into a nine-year remission. He did the best he could as he struggled with the possibility of a relapse. Along the way he nurtured his oldest son, who at an early age showed an inherited musical talent. Follow the journey as a father passes the family musical torch to his son.

Rodney Saulsberry has written a wonderful book that you won't want to put down. If you're already familiar with Saulsberry's popular, bestselling non-fiction books about the voice-over industry (as I was), this book will come as a huge surprise, because he proves himself to be an extremely talented fiction writer as well. This was such a good read that I can't wait for him to write another novel.Product details

Well written, concise, entertaining, & easy to follow. Thank you for reminding us what we're missing in today's homes tight net families, men that can build/fix things around the home, & confidence in self that perseveres when the odds are against you...I can read this book over & over again. A Very engaging story. One who just about anyone should be able to relate to. It's so rooted in reality you may forget that it's fiction. So pleased with this purchase and thank you Rodney for this captivating story. I was hooked like Salmon from the beginning to the end! Very touching. Very moving and definitely a smooth and easy read. Highly recommended
So many memories for those from Detroit and those fans of Motown. Some stars are named but there are enough hints to guess others. A REAL look at a Black family with all the ups and downs of life. Would make a great movie someday. Thank you Rodney Saulsberry!
