So, let's start with the good. I liked the story. Chase was a great fake fiancé. Lucy was a sweet, strong girl. It was a clean romance, no descriptive sex scenes. There were a few swear words. Now to the bad: I read book one with Piper and Aaron and really enjoyed that one. I don't recall it having so many editing mistakes. OH MY GOSH! It was quite distracting. Most times, my brain just fills in what it's supposed to say, but there were many instances when I had no idea what the sentence was supposed to be! I mean, we were introduced to a guy named Kevin and a sentence later, it said Keith! On top of all the misspelling was the wrong use of quotation marks; I had no idea who was speaking and if they were still speaking out loud or in their head. She had 2 different people speaking in the same paragraph, no new sentence. Very frustrating part of reading. If you can look past that, the story was worth the read.

Any Way You Dream It An Upper Crust Novel Book 2 Upper Crust Series edition by Monique McDonell Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Any Way You Dream It was completely predictable and ended exactly how I wanted it to. Unfortunately getting to that end was somewhat painful. The book is in great need of an editor. There were occasional stretches that were fine, but then there’d be several errors a page for a while. Occasionally I had no idea what the author even meant. Things went on a bit too long, too, like the author was just trying to stretch the length. It’s the second in a series, but there is no need to read the first book first. I only recommend Any Way You Dream It to people wanting a total mind vacation who don’t mind grammar and spelling errors.
This was a good story with likable characters. It would deserve 5 stars if it wasn't for the editing and grammar. Both got in the way of story's flow and created confusion.
Having said that, I'm sure her next novel will have a good story line and flawless editing. It will be worth a read.
The story is sweet, if a tad contrived. She needs a date to her HS reunion, and magically her best friend's husband's best friend is gorgeous, rich, available, willing to act as a fake fiance, etc. For some reason she keeps spurning the advances of this gorgeous, rich dude, she just wants to be friends.(I could never figure that part out!) Lots of side-stories that are actually kind of interesting. No insane sexual stuff, which was nice.
Cute story if you can suffer through the typos, misspells, name changes, incomplete sentences, and numerous other inconsistencies throughout the book. I'd say the book was written but never read or edited by anyone prior to publication. Worst I've ever seen. Looked at author's website and it reads like ESL with typos and misspelled words. Get an editor!
Reading the second book in a series should be an enjoyable experience. BUT, this book's lack of editing was SO distracting, it was almost impossible to follow the story. I'm not talking about a misspelled word every now and then. I'm referring to entire phrases being left out, apostrophes being randomly put in, words being transposed in a sentence, things like that. The worst part, is the author gives effusive praise to her "beta readers" and proofreaders, who obviously were sitting around eating bonbons, instead of actually proofing. Please, please, please proof this book and publish an update - the author has loyal fans who want it!!!
This book has a pleasant story and interesting characters, but as others have said the editing is so bad it's distracting. I had to stop reading and translate what the author was trying to say more times than I'd like. A wrong name was used in practically the same sentence as the correct one. I don't know what a beta reader does, but I can't imagine anyone reading this book without finding many errors. I read the previous novella in the series, but I'm going to skip the next one.
I enjoyed the story however the writing itself was lacking. I had a hard time with the grammar, miss use of words, duplicate words and lack of punctuation. A couple times I had to re read sections to figure out what was happening.
The story line was enjoyable and easy to read. The characters were cute and relatable. If I were to change anything it would be to add Chase's perspective on the story line.
So, let's start with the good. I liked the story. Chase was a great fake fiancé. Lucy was a sweet, strong girl. It was a clean romance, no descriptive sex scenes. There were a few swear words.
